Recycling Away from Home |
CVWMA coordinates residential recycling programs with our member local governments. But we know many of you want to be able to recycle when you are away from home. Below are some ideas to help you make recycling a part of your life wherever you go! 
• Use CVWMA's event recycling program at your next community function.
• Click here for information about starting a recycling program at your school, business, church or other organization.
• Try recycling as a fundraiser for your favorite school or non-profit group.

School Recycling
|
 This month, CVWMA will implement a two-year school recycling pilot program. Through a grant from the United States Environmental Protection Agency, CVWMA plans to study the volume of paper that can be collected and recycled in school settings. Participation in this pilot program was open to public and private k-12 schools in the Town of Ashland, Chesterfield County, the City of Colonial Heights, Henrico County and the City of Richmond. Thirteen schools in central Virginia have been selected to participate in our study. The information we collect will be shared with school districts in central Virginia at the pilot program's conclusion. Our goal is to encourage more schools in our area to implement recycling programs. |

Labor Day Reminder
|
 A reminder that curbside recycling will not be collected on Labor Day, Monday, September 3, 2007. All collections this week will be delayed one day. |
